I remember an interview in which Terrence McKenna compares our current perception of time--as a smooth constant flow--to Ptolemy's conception of the planets traveling in perfect circles, when, in fact, Time could have a very textured topography. In any case, our Procrustean perception of time dissolves on the quantum level; and Reality itself seems to be inextricably intermeshed with the viewer. Conscious or not, we are co-creating with creation itself, simply by being alive.
