The 2009 California State Horseshoe Pitching Championships returned to Davis, CA. The Yolo Horseshoe Pitching Club hosted the event with over 150 competitors. The two day event ended with Rick Bermingham capturing his third straight title in the Men's Championship Class.

I'd like to challenge him.. Only I pitch with Franklin Advanced Horseshoes. They are made differently that the Champion or Royal brands... They require more skill (in my opinion)

Great video. I really like the slow-mo shots. Congratulations Rick on another big win!! Only thing I might add to this video is some contact info for the NCHPA , a map to the Yolo courts, or otherCA club contact info at the end of it for people who get inspired to come out and play. Tremendous job on this video, Gary! And a big congrats to Rick for winning his third CA State Championship and a tough tournament. It's great to see such a well-produced piece online featuring an NHPA tournament. I look forward to more of this from the world of horseshoes in the future.
