I second that. As I remember film did very good (admittedly not Star Wars-magnitude) box office during its various releases in the UK in the early 80s.
Too true, and from what I remember it did pretty good (admittedly not Star Wars-magnitude) box office in the UK during its several releases in the early 80s.
That ain't no turkey. BBTS was a clear cut above most of the Star Wars rip-offs of the late 70s and early 80s. It launched the careers of James Cameron and James Horner, and was written by John Sayles.
I have a salvage dvd copy of this film. I found it in the bin of a second hand shop. HA HA! I guess that makes it 3rd hand, I copied the tape to dvd and after rewinding the tape broke. Classic film, will upload when i have the time!
I always wondered what this Warcry meant: "Banzaiiiii!!" ? "Fuckyouuuuu!!!" ? "Mendozaaaa!!!" ?
Only now I realized that its actually the name of his race (an extinct race, thanks to Sador). I know I'm a dork... :/
