After 4 weeks on Morphine and Dilaudid, it was having no effect. My body had developed a tolerance so it was time to give these horrible pain killers the flick once again!
This time I was still in hospital. Thank goodness as this detox would have literally killed me at home.

I knew what I was about to face. Withdrawls. BUT no where near where I thought it was going to be.
I have NEVER had withdrawls this severe.
It was agonisingly painful.

I did a rapid detox, the detox that they give a general anaesthetic (GA) for, along with medications to reverse the effects of withdrawls and any medications left in the system.
I however did it WITHOUT the GA. All I used was a Ketamine infusion, Clonadine and an occasional Valium.
They use a GA with rapid detox because of the distressing, literally paralizing, distressing, painful effects of withdrawing so quickly.

Dilaudid is around 8.3 times stronger than Morphine.
It is a very strong synthetic opiate and worse to withdraw from than Heroin.Taking up to 21 days for withdrawls to cease.

It is now day 14 and I am still suffering painful withdrawl symptoms.

Ketamine is a fast acting GA.
It has been found to be a useful in controlling pain in Palliative care patient's in a low dose infusion or injected.
BUT also it has been found to decrease opiate tolerance by 30% to 50% in just 3 hours!
It also means that it causes rapid detox.

Ketamine itself is a nasty drug. It causes halucinations in every form and a feeling of being in different 'zones'.
An example. I 'knew' staff were standing in front of me BUT I felt disassociated totally from them like I was in a different Universe! They were in one 'zone', I was in the other!

I appoligise for the poor video and sound quality as the withdrawls made it extremly hard to breath and talk.

The involuntry convulsions didn't help either.

  • ive done rapid detox by self administering 50mg naltrexone. its worse than hell and takes even more willpower to endure than saying "no"!

  • @MunkyJuce69 Rapid Detox, conscious, is absolutly horrid. And felt like a punishemnt to me although I knew I had developed a dependence. All I wanted to do is get out of this Rehab hospital, away from cranky old ladies, young men & women who struggled to move a muscle.Very depressing. But I need to detox from this lot.Start a new med,get pain uncontrol than home.the Rapid Detox was the worst ever,as you could understand.

Hopefull neither of us ever have to go through that experience again.

  • I have been on subutex for 4 years now after using su boxone to get me off my opiates. I can't seem to get off the subutex though. I take 1 mg in am and same in pm. I have leveled back off here to stop the withdrawels. Any suggestions or comments. Im also on Paxil and atavan. Talk about a bunch of drugs it's hard to get off of. I feel like i'm up against an army from hell trying to get off these one by one and still losing the battle. I just don't want to go back on the opiates.

  • @hi8sony I am so sorry.I forgot to write back. Please forgive me.I will do it now.

  • @hi8sony If you are in pain long term then why not just stay on opiates? The withdrawal effects are not a problem if you just stay on the medication.

Even in this day and age scientists have not managed to identify any substance that is anywhere near as good as the opiates, opioids and/or narcotics.. What ever your reason for coming off the meds. I would like to congratulate you and wish you all the best in your struggle against pain.

  • @shoutatthesky I just hate the things.Hate medication full stop.I'll give it out at work but taking it myself...Plus I rely on my Neurostimulator (electrical) implant.I DON'T want to live my life on opiates.Good for short term to control my pain. But there not the things for me.They are for others.

I can't study when my brain is fried on narcotics.I can't take proper care of me son, although he's 15 & can take care of himself he's still under my roof.

I am still off the meds & thank you so much

  • @valdezmiguel2 No your a fucking idiot. And I am NOT weak. You are.Taking drugs to get away from something you can't cope with.

Ketamine, fucks with your head and by the way in which you write so angerily and state your superior just because you didn't really get a withdrawal, is pathetic & idiotic.

    WD are NOT a competition.

I had Ketamine running through my veins,12mg an hour! Whilst in this video. So just under what you were on.

I DON'T usually attach back BUT you pissed me off big time.

  • @RiaRoseKnows Its no success trust me. Over 80% of ppl relapse be cause the depression is bad after when iboga-ibogaine wears off. Those ppl who talk positive about it are either just dont iboga or are sellers wanting to make money. I done it trust me and belive me it destroys ur brain-cells. About 10 ppl had to be admitted to a mental health institution because ibogaine messed their receptors. The ratio of death is 10/150, that is scary. It doesnt work for the long term I promise u this.
