I have always wondered why someone hasn't used EFI and timed the delivery after the cylinder clears the exhaust port on the compression stroke, this would effectively solve the unburnt hydrocarbon problem.
When I think of the HP to kg ratio it amazes me that someone would actually want a 4 stroke, or even worse a V twin.

@Zyworski i have a V twin , 2 stroke, suzuki RGV 250 keeping 2 stroke alive =D

@Zyworski It is called Direct Injection. Mercury, Evinrude and Yamaha have DI 2-stroke boat engines. Ski-Doo has a DI 2-stroke snowmobile(Evinrude tech). Ossa now has a port fuel injected trials bike and semi-direct injected enduro bike. Athena just unveiled a DI cylinder kit they were working on.

2 strokes aren't as lazy as 4 strokes on high rounds

@johnnydanger57 I wasn't being negative I am just learning 2 strokes. Great bike and sweet project may 2 strokes wether diesel ar gas live for ever!

@Zyworski Check out what BRP has done with their 2 strokes in the last few years. I own a snowmobile with a 160HP direct injected 800cc 2-stroke twin in it, as well as 2 Evinrude 2-strokes. They make crazy power and use hardly any oil. Just have to wait and see how long they hold together

A Kwacker triple with spannies is one of the best sounds in biking!
the last year motogp ran 500cc 2strokes, they were making 230hp. chew on that for a minute and tell me what it tastes like.

@MetricHotrodsdotcom Not sure of your point? Comparing hp of a mid 60's designed motor to factory efforts in the 90's? Apples and oranges.........
