This is played on my 2006 Ibanez AR300 BS. The guitar pickups have been modified with a Seymour Duncan SH-5 Custom in the bridge and an Irongear Rolling Mill in the neck position. The ABR type bridge was also replaced with the wider Nashville bridge this somehow improved the tone of the guitar and stopped some annoying rattles and buzzes from the ABR's loose bridge saddles. These guitars are cheap but have mahagony bodies and maple cap. The neck is fast and very playable having a flatter radius than a Les paul. The frets are nicely finished. The guitars are Korean and made by Cort for Ibanez according to the serial number.
The guitar is playing through a Line6 PODxt recorded directly to the video's audio soundtrack.

  • the sound of this guitar is like a les paul ??

  • @rooockme quite similar but a little brighter probably because it has a maple neck instead of mahagony. The neck is very thin and has a flatter radius on the frets.

  • your guitar isn't an ibanez ar300!!! but very good job man! look my AR300 in my channel!!! thank's!

  • @rocxNroll mine is the 2006 AR300 BS model made in Korea. I agree it's not a classic from the 70's or one of the Made In Japan master re-issues of recent years. When they brought out the new series of japan AR300's they dropped this model and now produce an AR200 like this but made in China !

  • this guitar is better than les paul

  • It's hard for anyone to keep a persons interest on a coninuous guitar riff, no vocals, no breaks just guitar. "But" you do it every time. You mess with harmonics like no ones business. Perfect placement one after another, keep them coming, I will never get tired of watching your fingers do their thing.

  • @Mattukgtr Many thanks for your reply, Matt. Can I also ask you about pots? The pots on my AR300 are shot, can you recommend some good ones? Cheers.

  • @ElliottsFather It is well known that thin nickel-silver pickup covers are best for transparency ie not affectung the tone. Irongear covers seem to be brass or copper and then plated and are quite thick and do muffle the sound of the pickup in my experience. In the case of the Blues Engine I recently fitted to a guitar for a friend it was uncovered and sounded great! I therefore can't recommend Irongear pups with covers.

  • @Mattukgtr Can I ask why you recommend the pickups without covers? Thanks!

  • nice sound !!! i love it

  • If I didn't know better, I would say its a Gibson

  • yeah give me some rokin
