Performance @ Spring Caravan 2011

For this performance, I had two goals. The first goal was to push my performance ability to the absolute limit and challenge my natural inclination to be very introverted and shy. Secondly, I wanted to create a character study in 2 parts. For the first part of the performance (Stevie Wonder, "Past Time Paradise") the character was dealing with anger mixed with pathos. For the Cult of Personality (Living Colour) segment, the character was angry and lethal. A cult figure prowling for prey among the vulnerable and chastising all those who weakly follow along and do as they are told. The second part is also a cautionary tale, as cult-like behaviors can be seen all around us. To me it is all based on anger. Anger can be constructive or destructive....... use it wisely.
