  • I hope you wont stop/slow down with videos now that you have pretty much done the whole table.

Myself, and i am sure many others, love and enjoy your videos

so keep up the good work :)

  • Mr. Eaves is very insightful. I hope someday society will allow science to move unhindered by fiscal or political concerns, and in turn reap the benefits of all the research that would allow.

  • It's so sad. "Politicians and industrialists" and indeed capitalists, seem to consistently choose the course of action with the lest amount of long term benefit even for themselves. It's like a big corporation that lays off half its staff to make its balance sheet look good for the quaterly shareholders meeting. Utterly insane.

I've been decrying this lack of a long-term view in science research for a while now, but it's only getting worse. We're even selling off the Forensic Science Service!

  • i like his hair and glasses.

  • @solomsolomol He is upset because capital profit is taking precedence over research and discovery. As if profit is measured in bank balance alone.

  • Fun to listen Prof. Laurence Eaves chair squeaking away as he spoke, it's was almost Monty Python surreal to have in the background.

He makes a great point about the state of our World, it's bottom line not discovery anymore, very sad.

  • If i could connect kinetic wands to his hands we could store enough energy for his lighting :) just kidding the guys a legend.

  • I just checked. Only individuals have won the Nobel prize for chemistry. No organizations have won the prize.

The video is, as always, very good.

  • What is the idea behind it?

    What a git.

  • the prof. is upset because one lab is shutting down , but you should be glad there are still lots of other labs out there !

here in Egypt we have 1i lap !

  • ORganizations may also win the Nobel prize. Have you checked the site of Nobel Prize?
