yup,we call it kneading over here.Cats do it even when they are older.Its them replicating what they do to stimulate their mum's milk.Means they love ya!

In Germany we say "treteln" from treten = to step. (In this case little steps.)
Leo dictionary is telling that there is a word in english: "kneading" They also mention "making biscuits". I love this name too ;-D
