Guild Wars 2 Demo PAX East Part 1 - Warrior

Part 1 of a brief warrior playthrough.

Human, again- only because we've seen a lot of Charr already. Nothing wrong with that though right?

Anyway here's some Sword and Board, tiny bit of Rifle and Mace and a nice helping of Greatsword to round it off.

Things to note: GREATSWORD IS AWESOME! I did a poor job of showing the skills properly but believe me, it will be on my pallet once live drops.

Note that it has an uppercut as well as some nice AoE. Awesome weapon.

These GW2 videos never get old :). I just hope we get some normal looking swords in the final game. I sure understand that some people love their anime influenced overblown monstrosities, and that's cool. There must be quite a few people, however, who like their weapons looking like, well, weapons?

Anyway, GW2 = win.

@ashenspark I'm not trying to be an ass when I say this but I think you should consider the fact that the game has walking, talking plant people, upright lioncattigermen, shapeshifting vikings, and tiny ground dwelling mecha pilots and you are wondering about a weapon that seems a bit large? Norn are roughly 9 feet tall, give or take. I expect the term "Greatsword" to match the appearance. So yeah, when charr pick up a sword with the purpose of killing something that could be larger, it's okay.

@ImperfectBlock You forgot the busty, tatooed women unloading pistols while sommersaulting from roofs. But seriously, when I said that the super-sized uberswords of omnidirectional destruction are perfectly fine I actually meant that. Have 'em. Tons of them. But why shouldn't both of us get to swing greatswords that fit what we think of as greatswords? Wouldn't that be cool?

@ashenspark Mmm, I think it's safe to say this game should have a little of something for everyone. If I'm guessing right, that sword is going to be the HoM one we can earn, don't quote me on that though. I think there's a good enough variance in choices for things that we can get in the game that everyone will be happy.

@ImperfectBlock Still, Id like to have the choise of having a great sword looking like a twohanded knights sword not like a snow shuffel.. just as a personal preffrence.. lol

Great Vids by the way.. and I do think Anet will make weapons come in different shapes to suit everybodys styles.. =D

@pruittarthur Rifle for single-target damage, Bow is for large AoE damage.

Apparently the Rifle can also inflict several conditions (and you can knock nearby enemies back with a Rifle Butt attack) but like I said, isn't very useful against hordes of enemies.

@ashenspark I know the reply may come a little late and you probably know this by now. but you should not worry about the look of your armor/weapons. The item customization system will give you what you expect in the looks of your gear :)

@ashenspark there is the transmutation stone which allows you to change the appearance of a sword with better stats into the appearance of one you like and you had before, so there is a lot of options for customisation.

Rifle or Bow.

im trying to figure out so ill know what im doing ahead of time im doing some indepth research on guild wars2 wiki and cant come to a conclusion so please if anyone is friendly enough to give me some hints and ideas let me know cause im just so excited for this game and jsut wanna own with my Human warrior
