The last Tasmanian Tiger died in captivity in 1936 due to neglect.
It is sad that this amazing species could not be saved. It is truly one of the if not the saddest loss to the Natural World of the 20th century.

The Tasmanian tiger has never been officially or reliably sighted since the last one died in 1936. The Tasmanian tiger was officially declared extinct by international standards in 1986.

Yeah a Tasmanian Tiger. They're actually extinct. The last one died in a zoo in the 1930s.
