my quick and loose interpretation is that the video explores dichotomous themes such as good and evil, clean/purity and that which is soiled or corrupt, as well as beauty and decay.

I disagree, I think you are fully entitled to your interpretation - as is anyone with "art." I think the creators could have had several possible ideas in mind while creating this, in order to reach a vast audience. Either way, I think it's a well made video :)

To me this video is an attempt at exploiting the LGBT community and it's controversies while displaying no clear message.

But as I said, that is likely not the idea of it's creators, or even of the majority of it's viewers.

That is just what I think, and while most "fans" will consider it offensive it is just as valid an interpretation as any.

Cue to accusations of me being closed minded and so on because that's what happens whenever someone criticizes this kind of "art".
