@geenaskye The visuals are from one concert and the audio from another. Your comment does not make sense. It was put together to give us an idea of the show, but it is not the original sound of the video we see. She always sang live, it is just that the sound of the concert in Denmark was better, the visulas are form her concert in Sweden. Thanks..

Look at her. Poor thing. She's on some kind of dope. Even so, she still had enough talent left to muddle through with an acceptable performance. Probably couldn't wait to rush backstage to have some liquor and pills.

@rickhatch1 I read that in 1967, some of the few remianing staff who were working at her home actually found heroin and morphine around the place. When you get into messing with opiates your on a very slippery slope. Sad .

@huascar66 She split with Sid Luft in '63, final divorce in '65. "A Star Is Born" failed at the box office and ended their hopeful movie production partnership. They stayed together and had the kids but were apparently two mean drunks so good they separated. I was speaking of the years after that to the end.

@huascar66 ---Yes, when someone finally goes, there are lots of people who play the 'blame' game. Lots of people took advantage of Judy way before the last year, and personally I think Mickey Deans made Judy happy. Lorna and Joey were very young teenagers, they had to have somewhat of a normal life of their own. Even though they loved their Mother very much, obviously. As Liza, who loved her dearly. But Liza was a young married woman, and had her own life to lead.

@funboy7979 Sid Luft was the one who was able to get her to continue to work. But, in the end, Judy just couldn't manage the money sensibly and Mr. Luft gave up. I don't think it was Mark Herron, but I could be wrong. Sid Luft, for all his faults, really did try to help Judy and keep her together, emotionally and financially. My opinion. That's all.

@rickhatch1 Basically, years and years of amphetamine abuse. In her last couple of years, she was taking amazing amounts of Ritalin. And alcohol. And barbituates. Sad. So very sad. I think Lorna was referencing Micky Deans, her last husband. Maybe so, but by the end of her life, EVERYBODY, including Ms. Luft, had turned away from Judy. Sad, so very very sad.

@rickhatch1 READ-Judy began takin dexadrine at 15 & continued taking some form of speed till her death-Ritalin n the 60's as dexadrine was not available) ritalin was eventually prescribed to kids with ADD-believing a stimulant would slow kids down (opposite effect) and with speed you have 10-30% of your normal appettite thus you get thin-got it? Garland luckily had the constitution of a horse that kept her alive a long time but after 30 yrs of non stop drugs even her strong body finally gave out
I never understood completely---obviously the drug overdose was the final cause of death, but what was she dying from, that made her so thin? Lorna Luft said once, that people were taking 'advantage of a dying woman' at the end of her life......It is very sad.....

@rickhatch1
I don’t know what caused Judy’s death (who does, really?) but if it’s true that she was using different kinds of drugs over many years (decades) as well as alcohol the kidneys and the liver will be damaged and by this also the heart. So it could have been several kinds of organ failures that could /would have let to her final death.
