Check the ground on left strut tower the pins in that plug get messed up and make bad connection.

foot panel by passenger on the fuse box , pull the wires that are behind the box which would you could see if u take the kick panel b y your right side foot on the driver side pull the wires a bit then push em back inon the fuse junction box just had that today and it was driving me crazy dont know the main culprit but this fixed my problem!

Did you discover the problem? I entire dash panel just went dead. Will be checking the fuses in a minute. I also have a 2002 Saturn SL1, only owner. Thanks!
