winter driving

Me driving on a small road in Eastern Lapland. The road is covered with ice, and it's been raining. Very, very slippery: drive slow on straights and decelerate gently to corners... Not on the video, but I also tried emergency braking from 50 kph, took some 100 meters to stop, with studded tires. Towards the uphill you can hear the front wheel spining as it looses the friction (I was holding the gas on level). The speedometer is in kph, and the song playing is Masturbation by the Godless Wicked Creeps.

As a conscript we drove on these type of roads in western lapland. You could ice skate and play hockey on the surface. We're driving in a military caravan and the lorry in front of us spun out and completed 6 and a half spins. Before it stopped in the wrong direction, facing us. We braked, we just slid but finally we stopped a meter or two head on from the outspun lorry. The distance between our lorries was over 100 meters and we braked just as the lorry infront us lost it's grip.
