  • Thank you for the Gunslinger 2 pack review. I bought the Eberlestock LoDrag because I wanted something a bit more minimalist (slightly smaller and lighter). For me, the LoDrag was all I needed, but your review of the G2 provided a lot of insight. For example, I knew the scabbard could be used to carry stuff other than a rifle, but your review was the only one I've seen to explicitly state this.

I'll keep mine loaded as my BOB, and pull out the rifle and other SHTF stuff when I go camping.

  • @Liberty4Ever Glad the video helped. Had not seen the LoDrag until you mentioned it. I just checked it out on their website. Cool, enjoy.

  • Hmmm, good question. Short answer, I dunno. Never had one or played with one. The pictures would have made me think that the Eberlestock Gunslinger could carry more. But, looking at the Maxpedition website the Vulture appears to have between 2611-2810 cu of capacity vs. 3150 of the Eberlestock (including the sheath). The Eberlestock however only has 2500 cu of space in the cargo carrying areas. So Vulture beats it out for carrying regular stuff. No rifle sheath though.

  • Great review thanks!

  • very good review, well done. Have you had a chance to carry it with load for any distance? was it comfortable with say 25 pounds?

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I am pretty sure I will be getting this pack now thanks to this video.

  • Love this backpack. It's my everyday pack. I have the Dry Earth color. Wish it was made in the USA and then it would be perfect, but other than that. this pack can handle a lot of weight. I packed mine with over a 100lbs worth of stuff... .308 .45 & 9mm ammo (a'lil over a 1000 rounds all together), an M21 rifle, 6 loaded 20 round mags, 4 9mm MP5 & 4 .45 mags. and other miscellaneous and a plate carrier too and went on a short hike. Hope I won't need to do that again, but the pack held up well.

  • sheesh that multicam is so sharp!! i couldnt afford the GS2 so i got the X3 Lo-drag, not quite as swank but hey its still Eberlestock and still has a large sling like the GS2. couldnt find it locally so had to get it online!

  • Excellent review! I bought one in military green for general use.

As mentioned the dry earth is a great color as well. I had an x2 but returned it for the g2.

  • Love this backpack have it in coyote brown, i use it as my bug out bag.

  • Very nice review, love eberlestock stuff, thanks for sharing!
