OLLIE MY CAIQUE ,ATTACK MODE NEED HELP

I NEED HELP UNDERSTANDING WHT MY BIRD ALWAYS MAKE A BEE LINE TO MY FRIEND KATHY ,,WHY DOES HE CHOOSE ,HOW DOES HE CHOOSE , WHAT DO PEOPLE DO TO MAKE HIM NOT LIKE THEM ?

where do you live ?

i paid 1200.00 plus all his cages ,he has a specific cage at night and will NOT go near it till night ,and sometimes he's even put himself to bed if i haven't gotten home in time ,he's so smart

no ollie doesn't get coke ,my husband and sons drink coke ,and i started to notice he would gyrate towards the cans ,and of course would try to get him before he became obsessed, when ollie is near something he wants he gets mad and viscious ,so he was young enough for me to nix that offense contrary to the video ,yes she had a coke ,but i don't let him near anything but water and maybe milk occ ,,.

You knew coke isn't good for your bird! Why would you even give your bird coke? Birds can't be trained like a dog. they are not pawns.

Hmmmm! My guess is you don't treat your bird like a living thing but rather a pet you might train?

illoe is a very special baby in this house we don't give hime soda sometimes he finds an abandoned can ,he is extremely well taken care ,he gets put to sleep with a blanky and song ,he has 4 cages ,.my question was not about coke ,but now i know ,is why does he choose random people friends of mine to dislike the minute the come in ,he can go after my feet when he gets mad i understand when he's going to do it ,but strangers don't ,let's not linger on the coke ,someone just answer the question

yes she probably screamed ,but i've had him bite me a time ot too just to get my attention by my toes and he can hurt granted he did not attack me ,but if you are unaware of a parrots beek on your feet you can be startled ,i'm not i just know he wants me to know he's underfoot and would like me to pick him up ,no more coke eiher ,he just seemed to and seems to want what any one is drinking and he's always got plenty of water ,but no more coke or caffeine,

is it just me or are you actually trying to get him to atack your friend?

And you shoudn't let him drink coke just because you think it's fun to watch!

I think you need to treat him more like a 2 year old person rhater than a pet you can do whatever you want with. You need to stimulate him more. He also needs to be rewarded when he dosn't atack, and be told no and be sat aside if he does.

I'm no pro in this, and this is just my advices, you can follow them or not. But either way; Good luck!

all coke-drinking aside, i think the bird is just being ornery. he knows you like kathy and as far as he's concerned, he's #1 in your family. or, he knows he makes kathy nervous and he gets gratification out of pestering her. my mom had an amazon that absolutely despised me as a kid, because that was HER mom and she knew i was kind of afraid of her. they really are that smart.

I am watching your video, giggling a bit at your master mind Caique then my mouth opens as you let your Caique drink some soda. I'm speechless! I truly hope your have stopped letting your bird drink any sort of caffeinated drinks, it can be deadly.

What your bird is presenting is a bit of territorial-ism, especially over you. My suggestion would be to introduce him to a new object every day. Just an object. Start with small things, like pens (capped), chapstick, forks, ect. Then re-introduce Kathy. have her hold out her hand, but do not touch the bird. If you must put him in his cage, do so. When he shows signs of aggression, have her back away. Repeat until Ollie becomes desensitized to her, and give him a reward for being non-aggresive.

i know youve been asking me for advice but i agree with the other people even just a sip of caffine can hurt the caique specially a bird that size that could be the reason he is acting so strange.....or he is just protecting u because he loves you so much but still dont give him any caffine just that little bit cold kill him!!!!!!!!!!!

Put him into a family of people you trust for a week or two, make them earn his trust so you let him know "strange" people are not evil

@polks6 Then why did you say "he loves coca-cola...gets his daily dose of coca-cola?" Caffeine is poison for parrots! Maybe it is the caffeine that is making him do weird things.
