Global Day of Action Held To Demand New Trial For Death Row Prisoner Troy Davis
for more information go to http://globaldayfortroy.org
Events are being held across the country today to demand a new trial for the Georgia death row prisoner Troy Anthony Davis. Davis, an African-American, was convicted for the 1989 killing of a white police officer. Since the trial, seven of the nine non-police witnesses have recanted their testimony. There is also no direct physical evidence tying Davis to the crime scene. A 30-day stay of execution expired on Saturday following last months decision by a federal appeals court to reject a new trial for Davis.
Execute this turd already.

Amesty International proves itself a criminal enterprise that supports terror. How many times does this savage cop killer deserve to be judged. He will be judged and sent to hell when justice is served.

Amy, if you get this, tell me something: I understand the idea that war is bad. I understand the idea that executing an innocent man is bad. I do get that. I also agree. But we lose 40 to 50 thousand people a year in Traffic deaths. We lose more people to Malpractice than to violent crime. Black on Black crime accounts for the leading cause of death to black men under 25 than any other cause. Regular flu accounts for 30 thousand deaths in a given year. Something to think about.

Please go to Amnesty international and sign the
petition. We want Justice not injustice. Get rid of these Bush judges and give Troy justice.
Barack Obama needs to address this issue also.
Thank you. One love.

thankyou for sharing with me my friend. I have never approved of the justice system in this country. Caryl Chessman comes to mind. A travesty indeed. When will the justice system wake up and realize the injustices that are going on. If they kill Troy Davis the justices will certainly have blood on their hands.

Thank you for the share, Bethseeba. This is a horror for Troy and for Dennis Skillicorn. This is inhumane barbarism. "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. - Gandhi

Thanks for the share Bethsheeba, I agree with you. There is a lot of reasonable doubt in this case. Definitely can not execute a man with this kind of evidence.

Regarding the other comments. This could easily be someone in their family.
Why put to death someone who has so many doubts surrounding the case.
This case is no race based it is justice based. There is a white man Jeff Wood also awaiting for the death penalty and he was not at the scene of the crime.
He is a victim of the law of parties.

If these 7 witnesses were willing to lie 20 years ago to put an "innocent" man in jail, then why are they trustworthy now? The only credible witness is the police officer who hasn't changed his story.
What happened was that some left-wing group convinced these hoodrats to change their story in order to make the death penalty appear "racist." That is a much more rational explanation than 7 people independently changing their story and admitting that they lied.
