Methanol Injection Test

Methanol injecter spray testing. Im drivng around my area to fine tune when the injection starts. There is a micro pressure switch that has to be adjusted to set when the injection starts.

I placed the nozzel on the widscreen so i can see when it sprays.

This engine is a 1.8 litre, and did at best 14.132 seconds, i was very certain that it wouldve done 13's with the methanol setup.

i've been wondering for a long time but, i got a AEM water injection kit, i was jus wondering where exactly do you get water/alcohal or methanol from? I've heard you use winshield wiper fluid.

Then i went to a hobby store which they sell 5 gallon tanks of 99% methanol, are you suppose to mix it with water cuz some injectors require 50-50 mixture of water and methanol.

I got a 20 litre drum of race methanol from the person i bought the kit off. Normally race type methanol is purchased from fuel selling companies. performance parts distibuters etc.

Yeah u can use 50/50, but i tend to use 90/10. Thats 90 methanol and 10 water. Methanol injection is methanol injection. if you use a real methniol injection kit, you can use 100% methnol.

I dont waste my time with kits,that dont compare with teh quality of a real meth inj kit.

No mate you dont understand, after the water runs through the combustion chamber it will go out through the exaust and cool the turbo.

wrong mate.

The water turns to vapour before it even touches the cylinder chamber. This removes heat from the charge air and allows more boost.
