  • The most successful economy is the one that taxes labor, capital, improvements and all other man made things and activities the least while taxing land values the most. The reason for this is that all land values are 100% created by the community as a whole (all people, i.e. population, and public services) so taxing them creates no disincentive to anything anyone does and returns to the community the value the community creates. Individual landowners do not create land value so no harm to them
