There is one component of this discussion which hasn't been clearly addressed - the massive increase in DEBT and along with that, the requirements of servitude to that debt.

When you go from a society where dad can work an average job, pay off a home with mum raising kids, have a decent quality of life and give the kids an education to just 'house or kids - CHOOSE' it's hardly any wonder the population is in massive decline.

DEBT is killing fertility as much as anything they mentioned here.

Factoid left out: A factory isn't full of workers anymore because technology has replaced them. Instead of a production floor full of employees, you have only 2. They both work in the control room. Employee A's job is to make sure Employee B stays away. And employee B's job is to make sure Employee A stays awake. That's the way it is now and why productivity per worker is at an all time high.

Phil Longman also says at the end of the movie that he is progressive type, when simply looking at where he works should give one the opposite idea. This is very strange stuff at work here.
