  • I just bought a truck with the same problem but worse. The bearings broke out then the u-joint cut through the cap and into the yolk on the rear end. Now the rear end and the transfercase both have about 1/4 inch of play in them. Friggin morons who don't look after things. I'm probably gonna have to replace my rear end and transfercase sooner or later now because of that. It was a $20 part that i changed quite easily and in no time at all. i'll post a video so your bosses can see the real cost.

  • @MrCoryjohnson1 that sucks. i see that alot though where people just let stuff go for years. seen a front wheel bearing go for so long it actually ovaled the hole inthe knuckle on a expedition or the classic wearing down the brake rotor to the middle of the fins and it breaks in half

  • So stupid for such an easy fix...

  • no kidding... the mechanics dont do shit and im guessing the company figures itll lose money if it gets pulled down to fix it. i think a tow when this thing breaks is gonna cost way more

  • @CaptianAnthony It's not the yoakes that's the problem, the rear end it going now because of the constant "smashing" from the loose joint (it's a standard so even worse), kind like turning a fan by hitting the blades with a sledge hammer. Sooner or later somthings gonna break and in this case it's the gears, ect in my rear end and sooner or later my transfer case and possibly transmission.

  • @fattpieceofcrap Ya as long as it works people just keep using it. "Run it till she breaks"... Then pay 10X more to have it fixed.. lol

  • @MrCoryjohnson1 Don't replace the axle and transvere case, you can buy just yokes for the transvere case and axle.

  • @fattpieceofcrap that would get you a ticket if smokey catches it

  • typical ford

  • nice and loose u can go faster less friction

  • that looks very healthy....
