Nick's P.O.V.
At the end of the school day, I saw Brian with Carter. He was holding her up against the building and smiling at her as he talked. She laughed some, but it wasnt a real laugh. I rolled my eyes and went to my car. Brian should have graduated already. He's Joe's age, but the idiot failed everything two years ago and had to retake junior year.
"Nicky!"
I turned and Manda came running up to me.
"Hey Manda. What's wrong?"
"I think i'm pregnant." She whispered. "Shh, don't tell anyone."
"Pregnant? How? Who?"
"Well...a few weeks ago Brian and i had some 'fun' after school." She smiled and glanced over at Carter and Brian. "But Carter can have him. If i'm not pregnant, she's bound to
be sooner or later." She kissed my cheek and walked away.
My eyes were wide as I got into my car. Carter wasnt allowed to get pregnant. Her parents would only kill her more.
"Bye Brian!" Carter yelled across the parking lot.
She ran to her car which was two down from mine. She had a nice car. It was a Mustang just like mine, only her's was yellow and a newer make and model.
She followed me home and smiled at me before she walked into her house. I smiled back and then walked up the stairs, into my house, and up to my room. I heard screaming and crying and i looked out my window to Carter's window. She was being yelled at by her father for smiling when she walked in the door. When her father left her room, she looked out her window at me. I quickly looked down, acting like i hadnt seen anything.
"Nick.." She cried out my name. I looked back up and she was leaning out her window. "Save me." She whimpered.
I walked over to my window and opened it all the way.
"Carter, what happened?"
"You know what happened Nick." She choked out.
I looked down, ashamed. I didn't know how I could help her. Her parents were too strick and mean. Then an idea hit me.
"Carter, are you allowed outside?" I asked hopeful.
She looked at me confused.
"Yeah, I guess..."
"Meet me in my front yard."
"But what if...?"
"CARTER!"
She looked towards her door.
"Oh no..." She groaned. "What do they want?"
"Meet me outside if you can." I stressed.
She nodded and left her bedroom.
Carter's P.O.V.
I walked downstairs carefully. I didnt want to get hurt again.
"Yes?" I asked once in the living room.
"We're going out to dinner with friends. Stay home, no boys, no Amanda. And you have to clean." Mom smiled.
"O..o..ok...have a good time."
"Wow..you're finally understanding us and respecting us. No fighting." Dad laughed.
"Well, daddy, i'm trying this new thing where I listen to you guys and maybe i'll get somewhere in life." I smiled fakely, but they bought it.
"Very wonderful to hear darling. Have a nice evening!"
They walked out the front door and i followed, stopping on the steps. I winked at Nick who was sitting on his steps, he blushed. It was....cute.
"Hello Nicholas!" My mother shouted and smiled.
"Evening Mr. and Mrs. Smithson."
Once my parents left, Nick walked over to my house.
"Hey." He smiled and then looked at my bruised arm.
I rubbed it.
"It's nothing. It doesnt even hurt." I blushed and looked down. "Alright lets get going." I said after a few minutes of awkward silence.
"How did you know we were going somewhere?" He chuckled.
"Because for some reason, I feel like I know you more now."
I locked up the house and we got into his car. We drove for miles and miles, about an hour drive and we finally came to the state of California, L.A. to be exact....
