4 open the next stage--the "need" for compensation and the "need" for Affirmative Action (review 1 and 2);

Slavery, like Nazism, must never be forgotten--in the sense that nothing similar must ever be tolerated even in its earlier stages.

The purpose is not to forever hold a sense of grievance on one side nor to carry the white man's burden on the other--much less to feign guilt or brandish sanctimony.

The slave trade is still alive and kicking all over this world, is it only the trade of Black slaves important? I don't think so. Effort should be put into stopping the slave trade all over the world instead of trying to force and apology for something that happened 200 years ago, something that I may add African tribal leaders traded there people to pocket out of that hideous trade and who is asking them to apologise, no one!

Slavery wasn't all bad, most of these people are now educated and are living in the civilized world, you dont see any trying to escape and risk their lives crossing over the borders from the US,UK etc etc in order to get back to Bongo Bongo land do you ?
