Stargate Arcade Pinball Machine by Gottlieb

I had only ever seen and played this pin once, at a show a couple of years ago and it seemed quite cool so when one turned up for sale I had to have it! It hasn't disappointed me and has lots of weird features like drop targets that raise up (!!!) to reveal passage shots to up-kickers, several stand up targets that fire the ball back at you (like a sling shot) and a secret passage in the apron! I like the multiballs as well, they all start with 2 balls and you get to add-a ball when you shoot a jackpot. I watched the film which if I'm honest was crap but it helps you to understand the game a lot.

This particular machine is in good condition but filthy. I have ordered all the parts to restore it and I will strip it down next time I get bored! I think it will be sticking around for a while.

Didn't hear the "shoot [for?] the sarcophagus" until 11:20 or so.. that was always the part that stuck in my head!

Ah, I expect that speech call stuck in your head as it only says it when you hit the drop target, it then becomes a pressure shot as it resets after 15 seconds or so and you lose the shot!

I watched this entire thing just to listen to the awesome sounds effects. I played this pin only once at a hotel in Florida ~ 95 or something. And I played it for hours for the entire 3 days I was there. So great. I wish I could run across it again. This video got me stoked for it again. Thanks for posting it.

I don't think I would be wrong by saying that this was Gottlieb's last good pinball machine before they went out of business in '96.

I think this game would be in the top 10 if it was made by WMS! I cannot believe gottlieb made something this gorgeous.
