I love how he plays with the part after @4:25 with all those little things here and there but still keeps the "feel" there. what a cool cat.

Really cool song from Joe. Look at the drummer - he has the groove! He's a cool player!!

Like Hendrix on ACID. Oh wait...

@PietroRumenta Huh. I always thought the culprit of that "dry" sort of "airy" tone that he has was all Ibanez. Thanks for the info.

@PietroRumenta I have to side with you on Satriani's tone, it's not to my taste as well, but don't blame the Dimarzio's.. Only a small part of a chain. Also, all the players you mentioned with a 'real' tone use single coils and they don't often decide to endorse Diamrzio but that's more of a humbuckers - single coils debate, I would say..I did like sSatriani's tone on this specific album, though

@PietroRumenta hooooo interesting... but fuck it... i love this song period... xD

@capecodnut When someone uses DiMarzio pickups, it means for the 80% of the times that they have horrible sound as those pickups sound like plastic: they're cold, undynamic, static, plate, only a lot of output but no dimension at all, and I could go on and on.
Just think of Steve Vai, Steve Morse and many others who have decided to ruin their beautiful stuff with terrible sounds. Then think of Blackmore, Jeff Beck, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Hendrix, so on, and their real warm bluesy sounds

@PietroRumenta Do your RESEARCH. You have no idea what you're talking about. I'm sorry, but Satch is THE BEST ON THE PLANET. Do your research and THEN comment. Peace.

Take Satch, Rush, Kings X, and Living Colour, and you have the Four Horsemen of Underrated Awesomeness.
