I know that this is supposed to be some Liberal Message ...

But it what says to me is how terrible Soldier's returning home from Vietnam were treated, funny enough by Liberals.

So I don't understand how this is liberal, unless there's some subtext I missed here.

The only fact is that is that there's an entire generation of Americans who should feel ashamed of themselves for their acts in the late 60's and early 70's.

Either way I still love the song, and tells a real story of the time.
