Akira gets hyped WAY too much. some of his moves are very hard to perform ... so what? he lacks enough circular moves and he is pretty predictable. the only way to REALLY (and faithfully) score with him is to be a master at VF5, but if you are, then you are always dangerous, no need to play the "mighty" akira.

have you seen jacky's black book combos? they're not exactly what i'd call basic. the combo at 1:51-1:53 for instance, requires an evade in order to land- not exactly the bread and butter spod of akira's.

they stopped labeling the characters with skill levels for vf5 just so people would stop saying stupid things like jacky's an overpowered character for beginners.

Jacky is good for beginners with its basic combos BUT Akira is a different story for it requires a lot of effort to master him.
