It was the Toyota floor mats that came with the Prius that used to cause the issues. but the Prius and Prius V is still a very unsafe car - look at the crash test results, it's one of the least safe cars built today. Along with the Camry and Lexus is250/350.

and BTw those case happen due to user error, you know the jackass that buy those thick all purpose floor mat, and don't adjust it, so it creep forward until one day that jack ass decide to floor the pedal causing it to logged behind the mat. Then of course they blame Toyota for it.

err only a handful case of stuck accelerator on million of car sold, its not a 1% not even .1% its like .00001% chance. No one die, but ford and GM have had problem that killed people and it wasn't until the death toll reached to hundred that they admit their mistake. But they still refused to fix the problem, they only offer the guild line on how to fix it, you have to pay to fix it

I agree, I don't know how people crash with "stuck" accelerator bullshit, you can put the car in neutral and the break will always over power the engine, that is how all car are design, if the engine can over power the break non of us would be alive and car would not be able to stop.
