Rugged Handheld | Trimble Nomad | EZ Feed Dairy Agriculture

The Oregon State University Dairy utilizes the EZ-Feed application from DHI-Computing to monitor the feeding of 120 dairy cattle. Due to the university environment, there are many more workers involved than on a typical dairy, which would make feed tracking very difficult without an automated data collection system. Additionally, the system and the data provides students with learning opportunities through exposure to the latest technologies, and through data analysis of data trends over time, empowering discovery of optimum feeding practices for dairy cattle.

The Trimble Nomad computer is the rugged computer of choice for the challenging environment of an open-cab tractor working in varied conditions, from dusty to rainy.
