Next time Ice Oasis does this, they should get Dirty Jobs to come and film it. While it's not particularly dirty, it's definitely time consuming and underappreciated.

that's cool. I would get really sick of the zamboni if I had to do all those cuts though. =] I remember, they wouldn't let the skaters jump (it was either we could only jump in the middle or only outside of the middle..don't rememebr)

If you watch closely, before they put the white paint down a guy walks to each of the faceoff circles and puts a washer in the middle and sprays some water on it to freeze it in place. Then after the white is down two people use a string to trace the outlines of the faceoff circles.
