sound reactive cold cathode. Powered by an ATX power supply sitting on the floor, rigged to switch on even though it's not plugged into a motherboard.

i have such thing too! its funny and nice, i also have some fans connected to the supply for fresh air in my face aaah.... and i first used a paerclip but i've made a switch so i dont have the search on the floor for powering :D try it!

They're standard sound reactive cold cathodes (check PCmods websites, part # lit-119) hooked up to a standard computer ATX power supply that's just sitting on the floor. See posts below on getting the power supply working. good luck!

It was just a regular computer ATX power supply (I think this one was 300W that I ripped from an old computer).
