Yes this is from the original mono LP. I can understand why you think it plods but there is a certain wistfulness about it that appeals.

Nice post of mono Piper track ... I have the stereo Piper on Tower label, and A Nice Pair, and do have Piper 3CD box .. "it would be so nice" to find the mono LP, but this will more than do! (Any chance you have mono Saucerful LP?)
