This Rainier Beer TV spot from the late 1970s features Mickey Rooney as a Mountie in a parody of the old Nelson Eddy - Jeannette McDonald 1930s movie "Rose Marie" and the song "Indian Love Call." Yes, that's Mickey's wife. Video remains the property of Rainier Brewing Company - Seattle, Washington. Created and Produced by Heckler Associates and Rainier Beer Company, Ed Leimbacher, Writer-Producer.

  • I used to watch these commercial when they first aired...At the time, you were never quite sure when Version 2 would pop up, and when it did, it was always hilarious...The Rainier Beer ads were some of the greatest and most imaginative in television history, rivaling Alka-Seltzer, Volkswagen and FedEx at the time...Thank you for posting so many of these classic commercials...

  • That's Jan Rooney, Mick's EIGHTH wife! They were married in 1978 and still are!

  • Who is the woman, his wife? I thought it was Madeline Kahn?

  • that is SO upsetting.

    HAHAHA.

  • They don't make'em like this anymore. Pure gold.
