Filmed on Thurs Jan 21st, 2010 at Sorrento Valley

A mysterious Northbound Coaster train slowly rolls by Sorrento Valley at 10:12pm. The last scheduled Northbound Coaster of the day stops at Sorrento around 7:30pm. So this was a bit of a surprise. The Southbound Amtrak trains prior to this were significantly delayed for some reason, maybe the crazy weather?? So maybe this Coaster took the place of Amtrak #595, which never passed through. Or maybe there was some special event in San Diego?? Anyways, F40PH #2105 leads this train with a nice K5LA!! Cabcar #2303 is on the back.

Thanks for watching!!

  • The rain royally screwwed things up, the tracks were closed in Sorrento Valley for several hours, until about 8 PM, it's VERY possible this is just an extremely late 665.

  • Thanks

  • Nice catch!
