This is a follow up of "Why Communism Works." I didn't narrate this video because the audio would only make it go over the time limit. I give examples of working socialism, and I discuss how Maoism would work towards communism.

I highly recommend you read a book called "Maoist Economics and the Revolutionary Road to Communism: The Shanghai Textbook". You can buy it here:

  • can maoism work in nepal?

  • Sure. I think it can.

  • @RedNickD hey nick is it wrong of me to think of capitalism's flaws lying in the fact that its ideal is gearing toward the middle class but is prevented from doing so by the rich rulers just as socialism and communism has been prevented in all its forms, if so how do you see anything changing for the better considering the rich will often hold strong influence no matter the system of government because they have the utility's to bribe and control large numbers of people

  • @cjhmmp

It isn't wrong to criticize capitalism in that regard. Things can be changed by convincing the masses, the average people themselves, that the rich are the enemy. Then overthrowing the rich and redistributing their money. This happened in Czarist Russia, it happened in China, etc. We just need to make sure the masses of people purge the government harder next time around, we must continue the revolution until communism is reached.

  • Chinas done pertty well, but i personally would never wanna live in a communist country. I also dont agree that china does not agree to many of our environmental proposals to become more green. Sorry, but im an environment lover, and that doesnt fly with me.

  • I agree that the environment should be protected, but it shouldn't be at the cost of anybody's job. I don't know much about the environmental issue. I can tell you what animals are in trouble though.

Modern China is more mixed economy than communist. Mao's China was Marxist though. Now that going green is popular, it would be easier to save the Earth in a Marxist state. Many communist parties in North America, Europe, and other places have supported measures to help the environment.

  • Modern day China is not communist. Modern day China is in fact socialist, communist countries do not have over nintey percent of there GDP and export porducts tied up within a captailist country. Also they do not have the freedoms speaking within a economic sense that modern day china has. China is not communist, that label no longer applies seeing as how communist economic policy was suspended prior to the hong kong take over and replaced with more lax socialistic ecomnomic policys.

  • modern day china is not communist, as of 1978 when....deng xiaoping something like that did economic reforms to make capitalist competition legal, but there were government owned corporations. It still exploits people....

before of which, china was a country that mao had to build from a shit hole, in my opinion he did very well. But the famine that occured is just depressing.

btw i hate it when people blame communism for what stalin did, blame the poor leadership, but the ideology

  • Very good that you touched upon science and technology that is the key pins in a Socialist society in eliminating human suffering and poverty. Westerners always think of Communism as an agriculture based economy, China is perfect example of this using science and technology to propel itself and its people out of poverty !

  • @RedNickD about the enviroment thing, here in america, communism is classified to be on the far left of the political spectrum and a classic left-wing view is enviromental protection. in which i belive in as well

  • @destructicon500 "The West needs to realize that developing nations need to be allowed to develop. It's the West's responsibility to change their ways, not developing nations." - I would argue that these nations need not repeat the mistakes of the west. If you know what not to do, don't do it, yet India and China seem to be repeating some of the mistakes of the Victorian age in England.

  • Too many "socialists" "regret" about "mistakes" made in harming "innocent" people. Really, the only mistake was not to liquidate enough counter-revolutionaries in any socialist country. The global people's war has already begun, and we must ruthlessly deal with all bourgeois liberal social-fascist type revisionism, WITHOUT RESPECT FOR PERSONS.

  • Rednick, live in North Korea. That's ultimate Communism right there.
