This video needs more black fade transitions.

As a millefirio caner, polymer, I think this man is a master. Why should he share how he does his magic. He is an artist not a teacher.

I think that would be a good idea considering how many people came here expecting a tutorial. Thank you!

I agree, now that you put it that way. Here's a suggestion, Since the video is over a year old and no doubt has served it purpose perhaps the title should be changed?

A good example: Hand Guitars' Jon Anderson Reveals a Glimpse of His Polymer Clay Design.

Thank you for the reply btw, I appreciate it.

If he's a "total recluse," as the guitar-maker stated, he probably has no interest in winning fans. Nothing wrong with that. Kudos to those who enjoy making tutorials, especially with care, but it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Although the title is misleading, the explanation of the video's purpose is perfectly reasonable and I was grateful for a glimpse of a master at work. Cane-making videos are everywhere and if you can understand those, you can understand what this artist is doing, too.

I totally disagree! I am a polymer clay artist (sculpture) and I show EVERYTHING in time lapse demonstrations. Art is to be shared.. seriously, even if he did a step by step demonstration 95% of the YouTube community would still not get it. Its a negative image, selfish even. He would win far more fans by opening up to the community, I know this for a fact. I'm going to be making canes soon (first time taking it serious) and I WILL show the world how I do it. Just like everything else I do. ~Tom

unfortunately it's always a gaudy design that could be done a much more efficient way

We slapped on the title as a deliberate act of sensationalism.....just for a trade show and never considered the YouTube aspect. That said...it is on par with the bulk of YT postings!

Disclaimer: Jon Anderson has no interest in providing anyone with the precise details/steps/recipes of an innovative process that he spent 25 years developing. However, in the world of polymer clay it is well known > creating large size 'canes' and stretching the design shrinks but detail remains sharp!
