A how to guide for replacing your own superduty brakes, I reused my existing brakepads since they were still good, I really only needed to lubricate the caliper slider pins, but I got a chance to show you how to replace pads while i was in there

  • I just tore into my f250 with shear confidence from your video. It was literally the easiest "repair" I have ever done! Thanks to your description of the stuck float pins, I was able to free and grease it with no problem. It was stuck good, but with a small pry bar it came out and the little rubber snubber on the end was the culprit. Once I greased it up, it slid back in with ease and it slammed back together just like that! Great job describing all the hang ups and things that make simple jo

  • @epiciron777 Your Welcome glad I could help out!!

  • How did you get the frozen pins out of the calipers. So far I have 4 out of 6 that are stuck. (haven't gotten to the last one yet)

  • @masheapy keep on soaking them with penetrant i find PB Blaster works best, then grab the pins with a vice grip and try to work them free..... be careful on to booger them up too bad if you plan on reusing them, temporarily. Another thing i did with the vice grip was clamp it onto the pin and then whack the vice grip with a hammer in the direction to "pull the pins out'

  • You are the man, great video, thanks for the help!!!

  • Great video! I was on a roll and replaced my brake pads in about an hour with one major problem. I didn't pay attention to the part where you said to uncap the master cylinder before the caliper pistons are pushed back. I discovered why thats important -- I believe I had a blow out. A good day until that mishap!!!

  • @roofermike2007 one part of me thinks the caliper is not disengaging. Another part of me is telling me I'm dealing with a wheel bearing, and I think I'd be getting in over my head.

  • I took the tire off hoping it was just going to be a pad replacement (or even the rotors), but there was plenty of meat on the side I did remove. I did notice severe wear on those rubber gaskets on the caliper slider pins, but I'm nervous that I'm going to put money into the tools etc. only to find out it's a wheel bearing. I'm hearing a grinding noise almost to the same rhythm as if you had warped rotors. Any advice? If I had 2 people, it would be easier to find where the noise is coming from..

  • do you need that subwoofer box to change the breaks too? or is that just a work bench? hahha

  • I have a 2006 F-350, The brakes are similar but not quite the same. I have never changed brake pads on anything and after watching this video once I was able to tear into my pickup and change the pads. Great Video. By the way , The PB Blaster is awesome stuff, I bought some based on the recommendation in the video.

  • Great video. Thanks for the help.

  • Are the rear pads as easy as the front on f250

  • great video
