A collection of HD footage of a dozen species of wild birds filmed within the city where I reside -- Paranaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. All were captured in-habitat with EOS DSLRs + 400 -- 1600 mm lenses from late 2008 -- 2010.

Species List in order of appearance:

1. Olive-backed Sunbird (Nectarinia jugularis)
2. Zebra Dove (Geopelia striata)
3. Yellow-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus goiavier)
4. Brown Shrike (Lanius cristatus)
5. Grey-tailed Tattler (Heteroscelus brevipes)
6. Collared Kingfisher (Todiramphus chloris)
7. Little Egret (Egretta garzetta)
8. Black-crowned Night-Heron (Nycticorax nycticorax)
9. Common Redshank (Tringa totanus)
10. Common Sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos)
11. White-Breasted Waterhen (Amaurornis phoenicurus)
12. Pied Triller (Lalage nigra)

    This is a sad news, I think DENR already had released a clearance for the contractors to continue with their plans. This is the last bird sanctuary here in Manila.
