A video about why we spend hours at the barn, why we put up with countless trainers, why we deal with the hard rides, why we spend weeks training for that one minute, why we sacrafice so much just for those few moments. Because its worth it.

different countries have different styles. In some countries, the riders are taught to propel their legs backwards when the horse jumps a large fence so as not to interfere. It's not really our job to call their methods "good or bad". "Our way" is not the ONLY way. British, German, Austrailia.. riders get just as good of results as American riders.

so true i hate the people that say " horse riding is easy all u do is sit on the animal and kick it" well heres what i say to them! "hey how about u try riddin its not as easy as u think and ridin IS a sport and it IS NOT u just sit on the horse and kick it u have to actully work!!" REPLY TO THIS IF U AGREE!

I agree! You have to have so much leg and upper body muscle, its not even funny.

Haha, if someone sat on my pony and kicked her... Lets just say they'd be on the ground crying. c: She does NOT like being kicked. I had my one friend who thought it was easy ride her and they fell off. They've never mentioned anything bad about riding since then. xD

Theres proof that riding is a sport because its in the olympics. 8D

They say horseback riding is easy. I say I can kick a soccerball, throw a football, shoot a basketball, and pitch a baseball. But can they jump a 3 foot oxer at the canter with a green thoroughbred?

I have a friend who shows GP and he lost a class (with a $10,000 premium) by 1/100 of a second. One onehundreth of a second. Can you imagine how that must feel? LOL, he later beat the girl at a differant show :)

I love this video. Absoluetly perect. But i agree, horseback is a sport, but it's also a lifstyle. We never stop and it's always a big responsobility. But i love it and screw the people that say its not a sport.
