LOIS! Wow... This is Tony S. The guy in the beginning with Phillip doing the ID for my old blues show.
I still tell the story about this show it was one of the weirdest and best nights I had back then in my WRSI days. :)
I really didn't believe Larry when he called me until I saw it myself. Sorry, Larry, but thanks for the call! :)

Tony, noticed that your comment has been removed, but had a chance to read it in my email. So happy you came up that night, in spite of the fact that you had the flu! It sure was a special night, and one we'll remember forever! Peace, Lois and Larry

Not sure why I removed it. I think I meant to edit it. I'll never forget how great Phillip and the band were that night. They could have looked around and said, "What the heck are we doing here out in the middle of nowhere?" But they didn't. They were happy to be there and had a great time playing some GREAT stuff and letting folks come up and jam - including Larry, of course... Says a lot about the character of a true bluesman.

Larry and Phillip had be friends some twenty years ago, and it sure was a special treat for them both to get back together. Check out Larry's CD's on CD baby, Larry Ellsworth and the Allstars, and Ellsworth and Corder Mayberry Blues. What are you doing on TV these days?

Larry and Phillip knew each other some twenty years previous to the Wendell Town Hall party, when we met Nat and the rest of the band! We've stayed in touch with him from time to time, out there at the Bakersfield Blues Preservation Society. Great musicians, and super people.
