Will we Burn in Heaven? Good question Sarah McLachlan...

This is a Music Video I did for Sarah McLachlan's "Witness" off her Surfacing CD. I never paid too much attention to the song at first which is weird, cuz now it is one of my favorites - Both vocally, musically, and lyrically. All her songs on Surfacing are timeless though, which is maybe why the album is certified DIAMOND now;) (aka 10x platinum...over 10 million copies sold) Anyway, I thought this song deserved a music video, although the best songs are the hardest ones to make a video for..cuz they limit the song. I tried not to limit it too much, I think the philosophic lyrics really speak for themselves though, the video is just how I biasedly hear them.

I agree.. on both accounts... I cant believe she is coming back so soon now (finally), she's touring soon with the new Lilith Fair this summer and her NEW ALBUM is also coming out IN JUNE I believe!!!!!!!!! :) Been waiting 6 years for a new Album from my fav singer+songwriter!!!

This song is about the Christians(again)take the song apart properly.wont do miracles(fire out of clay)she is pushing a new kind of religion.I question what you say(will we burn in heaven)the change is the rapture.everyone is waiting.Everything will be revealed and mercy(some will go to the left,some to the right)

I like "Fumbling toward Ecstacy" a bit more than "surfacing". But "Surfacing" is more emotional as it was a gift from a friend who believed that I was about to leave a very horrible chapter in my life forever. I still have the CD she gave me, when everyone had thrown me by the wayside.

this song is so beyond profound and beautiful, that i can only hope the intelligent peoples on our wonderful planet can only appreciate the suttle messages and chord changes that can only be described as a song well put together and at the same time share an air of mystique that invades the eardrums and can only overwhelm in the best sense of the word!!!
