@lumpysnake If you don't like the CB lingo and the way people talk just pick up your cell phone and call anyone you want. Crystal clear connection and you can get through every time. Ham is a bunch of nerds talking about their new radios and the weather. LOL!

@youcrayzee if you think they are bad, speak to a radio amateur! I stopped using amateur bands because there was never anyone who could speak plain English about something other than radio!

@lumpysnake loc they do. They repeat when its skip 1000 miles or so you lose some words here and there. Not to mention the tons of radios trying to shoot dx. The Skip window moves around good one second, bad another.

@youcrayzee If they spoke normal it would take all the fun out of using the cb radio. Why even use the cb at all when we can just use our cell phones?

@youcrayzee My thoughts exactly. You cant understand them half the time, and they never shut up long enough to listen to any responses. That and they take 10 minutes to say goodbye. I finally cut the shit and moved to ham for long distance talking. I still use cb for local stuff though. lots of local friends.
