Ian Christie -- Director, Robert H. Lee Graduate Career Programs: The Robert H. Graduate School recognizes the importance of your career development during the program with the assignment of mandatory academic credits both to your work with the Business Career Centre and to your summer internship and industry project. Our relationship doesn't end when your MBA program completes. We offer alumni lifetime access to career services including one-to-one personal advising, live and recorded webinars, exclusive online content and live seminars.

Cathrine Walsh -- MBA Alumni: When I did my MBA at Sauder, I had the opportunity to do a semester abroad in Milan, Italy. I went to the business school there for three months. After I graduated, I stayed in Milan and had the opportunity to work in marketing at IBM and then at Microsoft, which was incredible. When I decided to relocate back to Vancouver, the Business Career Centre was the first call that I made. They began opening doors for me that I really never thought possible, got me reacquainted with the marketplace in Vancouver, started expanding my network. Within just a few days, I had an interview with Best Buy Canada, where I'm currently working.

Omar Khasawneh -- MBA Student: I recently secured a corporate finance internship with Seaspan and I couldn't have done that without the help of the Business Career Centre. I had no previous finance knowledge, so I participated in the MDA Mentorship and Training Program. The program provide me with the finance skills I needed, in time for the internship recruitment season. Not only did the program provide me with the necessary skills, it also provided me with the confidence I needed to impress my interviewers.

George Kamps -- MBA Alumni: While completing my MBA at the Sauder School of Business, I built a foundation of interview skills and confidence through the workshops offered by the BCC. During the summer of my internship, these skills were amplified by the Strategy Consulting Mentorship Program, which gave me the skills and confidence I needed in order to secure a full-time consulting job with the Boston Consulting Group in Toronto.

Ian Christie -- Director, Robert H. Lee Graduate Career Programs: The foundation of your interaction with the Business Career Centre is your one-to-one relationship with your personal career manager. This is where some of the most meaningful and customized work occurs, and you have unlimited access to your coach during the program. One of our biggest roles at the Business Career Centre is in developing and exposing students to employment opportunities. We work hard to develop internships and permanent-hire opportunities with partner companies, both locally and in markets further afield. In addition to a large selection of workshops, speakers, and career-information sessions, we deliver a wide range of programming including four career development days, the MBA Leadership Mentor Program, the Capital Markets Mentorship Program, the Leaders Reception, the Business Now Alumni Networking Event series, and Treks to locations like Toronto and Shanghai, Hong Kong, which expose students to companies, alumni and new markets. Whether your professional goal in undertaking the MBA program is to move ahead in a similar field, or make a significant career change, our team at the Business Career Centre is your close partner in that process. Engineering career moves is a complex puzzle, and students who achieve the best results in this area develop a close relationship with the Business Career Centre, and actively approach their career efforts at a spirit of partnership and personal responsibility.

Carissa Vados -- MBA Student: The Business Career Centre for me, I would say, was one of the biggest unexpected assets that I discovered while I've been at Sauder. I was pretty clear on which industry I wanted to get into, and I had several past experiences that seemed sort of disjointed. So the Business Career Centre really helped me take those past experiences, take my future aspirations, and put them together in a way that made me attractive to that industry. So I would highly recommend that any students coming to UBC, at Sauder, take full advantage of the Business Career Centre and the great people there. It has definitely helped me, not only with my schooling, but also with my career.

Alan Chuang -- MBA Alumni: Before my internship interview with Research in Motion, I scheduled a practice interview with my career advisor... (transcript shortened due to field length).
