「秋葉原菜園」計画とは
このたび、ＮＰＯ法人リコリタは、秋葉原に集まるコスプレイヤーさんや働くメイドさんたちと一緒に、いちご狩りをして一緒に
食べることが出来たらいいなあという利己的な妄想と、日本が抱える食糧自給率UP の課題解決に協力したい！という利他
的な考えをマッチングする企画を考えました。その名も、「秋葉原菜園」計画。
かつて青果市場のメッカであった秋葉原において、江戸野菜の新しい価値創造を図り、国内の自給率促進への新分野を拓く
都市アキバ型農業の実現に、アキバのみんなが挑んでみちゃうボランティアプロジェクトです。

For those who don't get it, this was a stunt to create a media event, the cosplay maids were just a prop.

The plants are rice and it was ready for harvest. The woman at the start was demonstrating how to cut the stalks and then hang the bunch of stalks upside down to dry as some farmers in Japan still do. The video would have been released to coincide with harvest time.
