This is from thier second album "Second Album", I do have the original album. The reissue cuts off a few seconds before the original. I like the old MONO version much better.

  • I think this was the flip-side of either "Can't Help Myself" or "Something About You."' Regardless, it's a great song.

  • @adopaz THis was actually the "A" side. Flip side to "Can't Help Myself" is "Sad Souviniers" (spell check)

  • Thank you for posting this song. I sure miss this kind of real music.

  • Fav Four Tops dancer !!! Top Post ! Thankyou.

  • ioxxd90 you rock! My fave Four Tops song. I grew up with these great Motown songs - brings back such good memories.

  • Thank you. I love the original recordings of these hits, too. I was just a little girl when Motown hit. I loved it better than any music, even the British Invasion music. Then came soul music. Sam and Dave, Otis Redding...

  • Love it brings back so many memories love Motown

  • ioxxd90...

    JUST LIKE ME...

No wonder you would prefer the MONO version of ANY MOTOWN SONG.

Those Mono 45's and Albums were deliberately mixed to have the rhythm sections and high frequencies mixed louder for the AM Radio Frequency limitations of the 1960's era.

I generally prefer MONO MIXES of ANY 1960's era Pop-Rock or Soul Song because that's how they were originally engineered and intended to be played... IN MONOPHONIC.

Even thru the early 1970's, 45's were still being mixed for AM RADIO.

  • This was their sixth Motown single in the US, Motown 1084, released in October 1965. It joined "I Can't Help Myself" and "It's the Same Old Song" on "Four Tops Second Album" (Motown 634). "Darling I Hum Our Song" (which had been done first by Martha & the Vandellas in 1963) was on the flip-side of the 45, and on the album as well.

  • Great track! "The Four Gold Tops!"

  • Excellent Thanks Motown God Bless KTF 5*************
