  • @BIGGIEDEVIL They can last well over 200,000 miles if you do certain things like frequent oil changes, using the right oil, warming it up, letting it cool down, never letting it overheat, revving it to 8-9k to prevent carbon buildup. Rotary engines are used in older planes because of their reliability.

  • @Cholmeleian The old "rotary piston" engines were reciprocating pistons arranged in a circular pattern instead of lets say a "V" pattern
