Hummingbird Feeders can be fancy or elaborate but that isn't always better. This hummingbird feeder came from Walmart and it was around five dollars, YES $5! It is great because it is easy to clean. It has a perch and it is red of course. Most importantly it is easy to clean. The more expensive a bird feeder the harder it is to clean. Perches are important because hummingbirds are very territorial and they need a perch to stand their ground. If the birds aren't finding your feeder, DO NOT COLOR THE WATER. Simply attach a silk red flower near the feeder to attract the birds. The birds only need sugar water, 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. Enjoy your birds! They should be here next month.

  • Im have to disagree with that ....sugar water is very bad for hummmming birds they do need the hummmming bird food thats already mixed up because it has all the vitamins and things that they needto stay healthy and active!

  • totally agree, Jane! these are the best feeders! love Nature First feeders. Seems I cannot find them at WM anymore but Nature First has a website. Just wish they offered a half gallon size as well. We always have a dozen of these feeders up and have to clean and fill them TWICE a day. The hummies LOVE these feeders - These have angled feeding ports and NO YELLOW on them to draw bees and wasps- even Dr JB's feeders don't compare!!
