Since the last video I have made a removable head support (the big black thing) that will give the head shape and structure when the synthetic fur is put on (I have only done the top half so far). I have also added servos to the snarl mechanism and the eyelid mechanism. I have been taking photos and videos of the construction process so when I'm done I can make a montage of how it was all done. The synthetic fur will smooth everything out and get rid of gaps and hide mechanisms. For example on the eyes the fur will go from the eyelid mechanism to the outside of the head support hiding the gap that can be seen in this video. I painted the head support black so if I had any small gaps between bits of fur it would be less noticeable. The fur will be a very dark brown.

  • pretty cool alot of mechanical sounds though

  • This is pretty common with animatronics. In movies you don't notice it because they have the advantage of puting different audio on. This is an old video by the way, you should have a look at the finished head.
