  • Hey what kind of beetles are those? Like pest beetles or like valuable stag beetles?

  • @DukeDonut They are Japanese Beetles and they are pests anywhere in North America although they haven't made it to the western half of the country yet I don't think.

  • Hmmm. This is very interesting. I would very much like to see what would happen if you attached a xxl clear trash bag liner to the trap. And for your commentary, can you please sing instead of talk? Thank you for considering this request.

  • I don't know if I could sing instead of talk, though I think a musical score is a must for any potential sequel.

  • @substandardtim Japanese Beetles are destroying forests on the west coast.

  • This trap is also great for catching a bag full of virginity.

  • amazing how many were captured! had no idea...i just hung one outside, and the beetles & moths are swarming around it. had i seen this experiment sooner, perhaps i would have attempted adding a larger bag. one suggestion....you can compost them, rather then putting them in the trash. plastic in the trash is not environmentally sound. we need to recycle those bags, otherwise, they end up in the ocean. so perhaps once the beetles are dead, you can purge the bag, and rinse out after composting. :)

  • Why doesn't our replublicratic government call the Army in on this one, jeeze

  • "...set it on fire, or put it in the yard of someone you don't like..."

    You fucking crack me up!!!

PS: I'm on meds to help control my cussing, but I fucking keep forgetting to take the god damned stuff.

  • In Minnesota the bettles are bad too me and my dad just put up traps 2day

  • @INFOWARforYourMind They're actually really easy to catch since they're extremely slow and fall a foot of so if disturbed.

  • @daCritic1000

lol good luck getting that many by hand...im making one right now Northeastern PA

  • i like this guy...

  • @oopsypoopsy04 Judging by the amount of views the video is getting right now, I'm guessing a lot of people are dealing with a bad year of beetles...Fortunately I have none. I was going to film an epic sequel to this video this year but apparently my chickens have eaten all of the beetle grubs. So...there's the solution, Chickens!
